Jem only joined Thermionic Culture at the beginning of 2012 but his multifarious roles and responsibilities have ensured he’s developed into one of our most versatile members of staff. On any given day, Jem might find himself invoicing customers, dealing with sales enquiries, helping with financial admin, shipping our products and/or managing our customer database.

Before he commenced working for us, Jem enjoyed a suitably successful career on the road, guitar-teching for artists and, latterly, plying his trade as a top notch lighting engineer for big bands such as Pulp.

Jem is also a talented musician and was once a member of “spaced out punk rock” combo, Hippies With Attitude.  He boasts a particular fondness for live albums – his favourite being Hawkwind’s ‘Space Ritual’ - while The Beatles, The Byrds, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple all feature prominently on Jem’s home stereo.
